Happy Friday! I’ve made an effort to get up and out the door earlier the past two weeks, which means less time spent applying makeup. I find that the best way to cut down my routine is to only apply a wash of shadow, or eliminate eyeshadow all together. I chose the latter, and instead have been relying on my staple eyeliners to open my eyes up and draw attention to them. As for the rest of my face, I’ve been keeping things pretty simple with natural peachy blush and one of my current favorite glosses.

Face: I’ve been using my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and applying it with fingertips, and then concealing and brightening underneath my eyes with Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch in the shade Ivory. To keep my face shine-free throughout the day I’ve been using my all-time favorite powder, Rimmel Stay Matte.

Eyes: First, to even out my eyelids since I’ve been skimping on the eyeshadow, I apply a tiny amount of foundation and blend it over my lids. Next, using Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er Precision Pen, I draw a not too thick, not too thin line across my upper lash line, winging the line out slightly. Too add a bit more definition I’ve been loving applying Mac Eye Kohl in Teddy, a golden brown, to my waterline, smudging the line a bit onto the outer third of my lower lash line. On my browns I’ve been using Mac Charcoal Brown Eyeshadow to fill in any gaps with an angled liner brush. I complete the eye look with a few coats of Maybelline The Falsies Mascara.

Cheeks: To contour I’ve been using [like always] my Jouer Mattifying Bronzer in Sunswept underneath my cheekbones and on my temples. For a natural, peachy cheek I’ve been using L’Oreal True Match Blush in W3-4. Lastly, for a bit of a glow I’ve been sweeping Nyx Illuminator in Magnetic onto the tops of my cheekbones.

Lips: I’ve been all about gloss lately, and one of my favorites has been Tanya Burr’s lip gloss in Just Peachy [other current gloss favorites include Urban Decay Naked Nourishing Gloss in Liar, Nyx Butter Gloss in Strawberry Parfait, and Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Gloss in Heartbreaker].

There you have it, a simple, slightly 60’s-inspired everyday makeup! What products have you been using for your current everyday routine?
